Marsala-Poached Figs


Fresh Figs, Poached in Marsala
Serve 6

1/2 cup sweet Marsala
1 cinnamon stick
3 black peppercorns
1 tablespoon honey
6 Figs, stems removed and halved
Walnut halves for garnish
  1. Combine first four ingredients in a medium saucepan. 
  2. Bring to a boil. Cook 7 minutes or until syrupy. 
  3. Add figs. Cook another minute, or until thoroughly heated.
